I heard Dobson the other day interview someone ( I just caught the end of the program), who said that there is much more freedom of thought and scientific inquiry in post-communist Poland than there is in the US. Our society here in America preaches "tolerance, tolerance, tolerance," but allows tolerance for every religious and moral thought and action EXCEPT for Christianity. Could we show this movie at church?
I was invited to a screening of the trailer for this film early in the prodution process of this movie. Let me tell you as much as I believe that there is value in the "Intellegent Desgin" debate, the movie looks like it lacks a lot of focus.
It begins with the idea that experts are being supressed an idea you can get behind. The problem is that the second half turns into an "attack" on evolution, and makes some deductive links that are blatently dishonest, like the idea that somehow evolution leads to eugenics and ultimatly the holocaust.
Let's be honest "the eugenics movemnet existed" long before Darwin, or the Origin of the Species so to blame the holocaust on Evolution is "dishonest."
I'm not trying to defend "Evolution" but I'm afraid this film has as many holes as any Michael Moore movie.
