Operation Iraqi Freedom 1 Vet said...

Thank you for posting this. I find it refreshing. As a Operation Iraqi Freedom I veteran I find the news stories apaulling (sp). The fact that they only focus on the negative stories about death and destruction (not that this stuff isn't happening) they also don't show the good stuff that happens. like the hospitals and schools being rebuilt. The fact that the innocent aren't shown more is something that American's need to see. They need to see that there is much more over there than the terrorist/insurgants. If America and its allies leave now then all those innocent civilians will have to watch their backs even more...I maybe contradicting myself but the war over there is never going to end. The people over there have been fighting this fight for hundreds and thousands of years and even if Democracy pervails over there the fight will still be going on. Once again thanks for posting that video...see you Sunday...Brian

Brian, thank you for your service. You, being in the military, understand what all Americans need to about the media, and that is what they report is vastly different than the experience itself, especially war reporting.

My father was in Viet Nam, back before there was the internet and alternative news sources. His disdain for Cronkite was palpable. He knew the truth, and he knew that the so-called unbiased journalism was slanted against the soldiers and their good work. How on earth did we come to this?

Let's work together to correct it!
