I'm sidetracked today, but I did have a passing thought. Isn't the celebration of Christmas, Easter, & Halloween all results of the early church appealing to pagans in a way? Some churches refuse to celebrate any of those holidays, which is silly to me, I never celebrated the pagan holidays, but grew up seeing them as something the church did. Now, on the other hand, I'd probably bail if you decided to start having services in the woods while wearing hemp clothing and meditating on the existence of dolphins or something.
