First thought, when I was a but a mere teenager, I used to enjoy watching WWF studio wrestling. Does anyone remember Randy "Macho Man" Savage? Is that him? Sounds just like him. Seriously, what is he yelling about?
Second thought (I have many thoughts about this nonsense), why in the world would you want the "mantle" or "anointing" of some guy named Frank Bartleman? No thanks, I'll take the Holy Spirit thank you. I'm sure even Frank would say, "No, you don't want the Frank Bartleman anointing."
The whole thing about the presidential candidate and the fishes and loaves is just silly. I'm assuming he's refering to Mike Huckabee. Where is he now?
Quite frankly, I have had it up to here (pointing to forehead) with these so called "prophets." What kills me is they spew forth all this nonsense, which they claim comes straight from the Lord, and when it doesn't come to pass, nobody calls them on it. Or, they conveniently do the switcheroo and make it mean something totally different or there's a "hidden, spiritually discerned meaning."
Remember this guys vision of the pastel colored room and the youth revival of 40,000 people in Kansas City. Because when it doesn't happen, and it won't, nobody will call this man on the carpet and say, "Listen here, you said this was right from the Lord." It just like a few years back (might have been last year) there was this big thing about "The Year of Jubilee." All these amazing things were supposed to happen and people were going to see great signs and wonders. Guess what? Nothing. This is typical.
I have had personal experience with these "modern day prophets" and have found them misguided at best and delusional at worst. One particular person used to attend Harvest (until he found out we weren't "in tune" with the Spirit. No doubt his opinion, not mine). I challenged this man to give me his 5 best prophetic words that the Lord had given him. I told him I wanted specific details of things that the Lord showed him were "definitely going to happen." He said, "No problem" because there was "just so much the Lord had been revealing to him."
So, long story short, he gave me a bunch of total nonsense with vague generalities. When I saw him the next time and asked for the specific details, he got flustered with me and started going off on how I was quenching the Spirit or some other silly thing that most of these people say when challenged. They typically attack you for questioning.
But anyway, I know I'm typing a lot because I'm very passionate about this whole modern day version of the Emperor's New Clothes. I've done the research, not just with "local prophets" but the "big dogs" as well and they all come up empty.
So here's my challenge to all you modern day prophet believers. Give me genuine, bonafide, specific, before the fact, prophesies from any of these nuts so that I can be enlightened.
Ugh. I made it about as far as the other video. He reminds me of a someone I worked with 15 years ago. On the other hand, I've had dreams that played out exactly as I dreamed them, but I've also had dreams that were just....dreams (thankfully I was never chased into a swimming pool by a bear). Only the test of time can validate them, which makes banking on them beforehand kind of silly.

He is intense...
Darin,
You had me laughing at several points. YEs! It think it is Macho Man Savage!
I love the Bartelman anointing!
It's guys like this who give Christians a "wacko, totally out there" image.
Darin,
Perhaps he meant to say that prior to this speech had had partaken in the Bartles and James annointing!!
"Bartles and James" annointing! too funny. :)
