Max and Max

My dog's name is Max. So is my older brother's. Here's a picture of Max holding Max. Question: is it an honor or an insult to have a dog named after you?

I think much of that depends on the intentions of the person naming their dog. If someone is genuinely fond of their dog and so chooses a name of a person dear to them to bestow upon the dog, then it is an honor, more so to the dog but at least a humorous compliment to the person whose name is now shared with a four footed pal.
If someone has an unruly or otherwise troublesome dog and gives it the name of a person out of dark humor, then it is meant to be insulting and is.
If someone has an unruly or otherwise troublesome dog and is also genuinely fond of it, then I suppose the dog just needs trained. LOL

I must say that to name your dog after me is a great way to say I miss you. Thanks

I think it's fine that you named your dog Max. Max has a dog named Katie Rose, which is my daughters name, I guess he misses me, or Katie.
