You probably don't know this man, but I do. His name is Roy Medley. He is a very nice man. He is the head of the American Baptist USA denomination. He also, like most of the leadership of ABCUSA is predictably wishy-washy on most all issues, political and theological, and when the wind blows, he leans left. Consequently, he leads his denomination on silence regarding abortion and loudness regarding women pastors. Likewise, his denomination is against the death penalty. Let's see if he has the courage to make a bold statement, maybe even a pastoral letter, telling the world how important it is that we do not execute Saddam Hussein. My guess? You won't hear a peep. *by the way, until I came to my present job, I pastored and ABCUSA church and have met with Dr Medley on several occassions.
