I like snow much better than football. It was beautiful today on the ride home from Pittsburgh. Clear, sunny and then snow in the woods. Beautiful.
so far, you're winning. :)
The snow on Christmas morning reminds me that Jesus made me "white as snow" and covers my sin debt. On the lighter side, it is always fun to get out in it with the kids and build snow forts, snowball fights, snowmen, angels and sled riding until your fingers, nose and toes hurt!
Great entry. we have some competition. Any takers who are "anti-snow"?
My son Nate would like to say that he is anti-snow b/c he has more fun playing football in muddy fall weather than in dreary winter snow. His hands freeze and he loses focus on the game. You can get together more with family and friends in summer b/c no one wants to drive in the snow. Plus you don't have to help your Dad shovel the driveway if there's no snow. Also, there wasn't any snow in Bethlehem when Jesus was born.
Snow makes everything beautiful, even the junkyards.
Snow is responsible for getting me out of bed half an hour earlier than my usual 6 am, having me clean out the mudroom closet to find all of the miscellaneous kids hats, gloves, and scarves. Snow is responsible for helping me stay active even in winter since my kids absolutely love the winter weather. Wait.. now I have to count sentences... lol
the last two comments are good counter points. Val, you are the first one to fully honor the 5 sentence rule. Also, I like the idea that snow even makes junkyards look nice.
I love snow! My mom's first and last visit to our church was on Christmas Eve, and it was also her last Christmas Eve on the earth. It snowed a lot that evening and my mom kept saying how "beautiful" it made everything look and how "peaceful" it seemed outside. The snow reminds me of my mom, and that she is with Jesus. It reminds me that she now is perfectly beautiful and peaceful.
AND THE WINNER IS....
I admit, this one was tough. However, Margie pulls down the win at the end. I know, she played the Mom card, but what a story!
Here is your reward: You are the queen of Snow. no one else may use that title for at least 365 days.
Wow--Margie rocks! She is now not only Queen of Fancy Blog Stuff, but Queen of Snow as well.
Oh thank you Samurai snow judge. LOL. Let's see...how would I look in a crown like the white witch had in Narnia? What a sight!
