I Remember

We Elect Them

The clowns who lead us have seen fit to force the hands of our military by pulling them out of Iraq or withhold their money. So, what part of "We support the troops" looks like that?

Okay, class clowns, some simple lessons. Look around the world. George Bush is not the problem. Though many disagree with his solutions, he is not the problem. The problem? Crazy Muslims who want to kill all the infidels are the problem. If they would stop blowing themselves up, the war on terror is over.

Of course, it is not politically correct to make war on crazy Muslims in America, so I guess George Bush is the problem, right? silly silly people.

Anyway, so we are in Iraq. Agree or not, we are there, and the crazy Muslims (there are non-crazy Muslims, I'm not talking about them) see this as the place to beat the Americans. Oh how easy it is. They don't have to defeat our military, just get our congress on their side. Not hard to do.

So the Congressional Clowns are giving the crazy Muslims what they want. What would happen if America ducks out of the fight in Iraq? Lots of things, all of them bad.

It will be the second major conflict we have been in that proves to the world that the American people are easy to manipulate, with the help of the American press, to get us to pull out. The American Congress and the people who elect them have the blood of over a million civilians on their hands because they pulled us out of Viet Nam with no protection for the people of South Viet Nam, Cambodia, Laos, etc. Of course, the American people don't know that, because why would CBS News want to bring all that attention to such things? Hmm? Don't want their own policy to look bad.

Okay, pull out of Iraq, what happens? The only nation actually fighting terror with any will power is now backing down. This will have what effect on the crazy Muslims? Hmm? Please, not liberal spin on this answer, reality will prove the obvious.

Oh, and please, no garbage about how GW made all the Muslims hate us more. So silly, so very silly. They hated us already and have been at war with us since the 70's, long before GW.

But the wise Pelosi's and Reids and Hegels know better than the Generals on the ground how to handle Iraq. Right.

IF ANY AMERICAN SOLDIER READS THIS BLOG, LET IT BE KNOWN THAT THERE IS A VERY LARGE GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO KNOW WE ARE RIPPING YOU OFF, ERODING YOUR SUPPORT AND TRASHING THE BLOOD OF YOUR FALLEN COMRADES AS A NATION. WE, LIKE YOU, FIND IT REPULSIVE. WE TRULY SUPPORT YOU, MISSION AND ALL. YOU ARE DOING A GREAT THING: LIBERATING A NATION WITHOUT TAKING IT OVER, FIGHTING THE CRAZY MUSLIMS WHO REALLY ARE TRYING TO KILL US ALL. YOU ARE GOOD MEN MAKING THE WORLD SAFER FOR PEOPLE IN AMERICA AND EUROPE WHO DON'T DESERVE IT. BUT THEY WILL SING A DIFFERENT TUNE WHEN MORE BUILDINGS FALL, NO DOUBT. OF COURSE, THEN THEY WILL BACK DOWN AGAIN WHEN YOU START TO WIN THE FIGHT AGAIN. I'M SORRY AND ASHAMED OF MY FELLOW AMERICANS HERE AT HOME. I APOLOGIZE FOR THEM.

My father was in Viet Nam. Regardless of how we got there or whether we should have been there, we could have and should have stayed to win. 50k American soldiers lost their lives in a congressionally motivated loss. I gave up my father for 2 years of my life to have his efforts made useless.

In this war, which is extremely winnable (believe me, the dems know this --they need us to lose for political reasons --they have bet all their money that we fail --they need us to fail), we have lost many fewer, but are going to pull out anyway. Do we care about Iraqis? Obviously not. Obviously our congress is willing to say to the Iraqi's "You're on your own. Sure, a couple more years and you'll probably be able to carry on the great things that have begun in your land without our help. but, we have elections and people need their power so, have a nice chaos day."

I'm ashamed of Congress. Every American who understands history and freedom should share in this shame.

ps. I will not have the energy to answer a bunch of objections to this. I wanted to get this off my chest.

Sermon Heard Round The World

The Pope preached this week about hell:

"[Hell]really exists and is eternal, even if nobody talks about it much any more,"

Amen!

Now that's the power to preach a sermon to the whole world, because the news media broadcasts it for you.

Of course, this really isn't news. Are the people of the world surprised that a Christian denomination believes in hell?

How About You Admit that You're Nuts

Because Westerners are so amoral in our philosophy, we trifle with fools and think them formidable.

Iran's leadership demands Brittain admit that their ships were in the wrong place. Brittain should demand that the Iranian leaders admit that they are out of there stinking minds.

Living In An Age Of Saviors

Check this guy out. He was said to have sat in this position without moving, or eating, or drinking, for 9 months straight! Next he wants to be buried alive. All this to achieve salvation (there's a much easier path, if he wants advice). He is getting quite a following.

Jesus Christ on the Today Show 08/25/06

This guy cracks me up! I have a message for him, "Ha ha ha ha!" What a joke.

Jesus said many would claim to be the Christ falsely. How should we respond to them? Jesus said how, "Don't believe them." That's simple. With that in mind, I say to this guy, "I laugh at you! I blow my nose at you!"

To See We Must Be Shown

William Wilberforce, in his attempt to rid England of the slave trade, tirelessly worked not only in the legislature, but in the population, educating them to the horrors of slavery. In the movie Amazing Grace, he had his comrades arrange a "pleasure cruise" with some rich and influential people. What the guests didn't realize is that their relaxing afternoon boat ride would intersect "by chance" with Wilberforce and the smells and the sights of a slave ship.

The South Carolina State Legislature voted overwhelmingly to require that every woman getting an abortion be required to first view an ultrasound of her own baby. In the spirit of Wilberforce, I say to the legislature of South Carolina, "Well done!"

An Uplifting Movie

I was surprised by this movie. It is a throwback to the first Rocky. In fact, it is like the first Rocky coming home as an old man.

What I liked best about this movie is that Rocky is a thoroughly good man. Thoroughly. He owns a restaraunt where he is kind and fair to all the employees; daily feeds an old friend who is down on his luck; spends time patiently talking with customers, telling them over and over the same old stories they want to hear, and having his picture taken with them, etc. He befriends a woman from the bad side of town, looks after her needs, helps her find a better job in a safe environment (His restaraunt), never tries to bed her or even get romantic. He also mentors the woman's fatherless son, taking him to adopt a dog and to his work place and later to his press conferences, etc. He also is warm, patient, and inspiring to his own son. He honors the memory of his late wife and is good to her very negative brother, Paulie. He speaks no ill of any man, and is kind and good, though strong and famous.

He's also just as plain (dumb?) as he was in the first Rocky. Stalone created this character over 30 years ago. He has gone on from his humble beginnings to great things. Now, Stalone has Rocky return to where he started. But there is a peace and goodness about him.

Was this a great movie? No. But it was good. And, it is uniquely American. Rocky has become an iconic figure in our nation. We root for him as if he wasn't fictional. Stalone could have ruined him --he could have made him into a tragic figure filled with filthy language, drunkeness, womanizing, or hate. But, instead, he gave us hope, pointing out that a good man, like a good wine, can get better with age.

And Jesus even made the film. The ex-boxer down on his luck that Rocky would feed began to do the dishes to earn his keep. Rocky protested, pointing out that he was a guest. The man said, "Jesus wants me to do the dishes for my supper." Rocky gives in, muttering as he walks away, "Good thing Jesus didn't want you to cook."

I liked this movie because I liked the man who Rocky has become. If America is to have fictional icons, I can't think of a better one.

Hey, Everyone! Check This Out

For all who interact on this blog, if you've run into a guy named Passafist, his real name is David A. Dein (pronounced "Deen").

What does he do for a living? He is a radio engineer/producer, something like that. But he has also become a radio personality in the largest radio market in the country (NYC/NJ).

Check out this article on him.

(Dave, I knew you when you were one of the little people!)

I Am Going To Attempt The Impossible

Right now, I do not know anything about the NCAA tournements, for women nor men. Sure, I know that the perennial favorites are probably in there somewhere. North Carolina, Duke, Tennessee women, UConn, blah, blah, blah, will all be playing in the 2007 addition of March madness.

At this time of year, people who paid no attention at all to basketball tune in, get acquainted with the teams, and pick their "brackets." Of course, they're always wrong, because very few pay attention to basketball in college and just parrot what they hear on the sports shows. IN any case, I'm going the other way.

Instead of brushing up on my NCAA basketball, I'm going to try to avoid the bracket-frenzy coming at me from every angle. No office pools, not friendly competition, no checking it out in USAToday, no wondering who will make the Sweet-16, or the Elite 8, or the Final 4. I will even try to avoid discovering who the champions are for as long as I can.

Like the cop said to the doctor in "The Fuguitive", (when the doc said he didn't kill his wife) "I DON'T CARE!"

What about you?
