Ricky Martin, singing a song that mentioned President Bush (why there is such a song I can't imagine) gave Bush the finger during the performance. Click here for story. It is so "in style" to kick the president now. Good for you, Ricky. You are so brave, taking your stand against Bush. Why, by doing so you are . . . piling on?
Ricky's antics show neither courage nor taste. Interesting. But I won't be losing sleep.
You know, I bet he wins a grammy for this!
Thoughts?

Wow, do you have blogs and the such everywhere?
he has been a very BAD boy "heartthrob" from his start with "menudo". this is an example of a male attempt to use sexual appeal to influence politics. don't give him any more attention...he's 100% rotten.
I think it is ridiculous he said this... "I will always condemn war and those who promulgate it". As if war is never something that needs to happen. You're right about it being in style to knock Bush. I couldn't imagine Ricky Martin singing a song about Clinton and giving him the finger for all his wrongs and affairs, etc. Instead, Clinton probably got a pat on the back from some of his buddies for his tryst with Monica Lewinsky.
Once again the reaction is to drag Clinton into this, as if he is relevant at the moment.
And frankly, how dare you compare a policy which has left over 100,000 human beings dead to an extra marital affair.
While I could care less what Ricky Martin thinks, and am sure he did this for publicity and nothing else, comparing Clinton's gaffes to Bush's blunders is absurd.
sorry, Wizard, you may be right on not dragging clinton in, but you're way off base on all that other stuff.
100,000 people? try more than a million by Sadam and his oppression. No, you're just wrong on Iraq. Sorry. The world is better off without Saddam and if certain dems weren't trying to hard to get elected, we'd even be farther along by now. But, you'll see, if the senate gets their way and defunds our boys, the chaos will increase, and then, if hilly is in, she'll no doubt blame bush and find some way to make America the bad guy. And islamic extremists will do as they have since the 70's and plot to kill Israel and us. We need to win in Iraq.
By the way, the dead in Iraq is largely due to terrorists. that makes them the bad guys. Bush is not a great domestic president, but at least he has the guts to do good in the world. for all the thanks it gets him.
As for Clinton being harmless beyond his sexual trysts, I hate to have to lecture, but I guess there is just little good info in the liberal news streams. let me help:
Clinton saw to it that China had the technology it needed to arm nuclear missiles that had the ability to reach literally the entire world. I guess he had to, with all the illegal foreign money he was receiving. Of course, if he had gotten it from oil companies, who legitimately sell legal product, he would be the devil, but he got it from penniless budhist monks who got it from . . . china. facts. easy to document, easy to research. please look it up so that you can see sex-boy as he is.
Clinton also did nothing about terrorism. I earlier had to remind you of the 93 bombing of the World Trade center for which he did nothing. Let me add the USS Cole. Let me add the bombings of American Embassies in Kenya and another African nation (can't remember the location right now, but it is easy to find) that happened at the same moment. Then there is his turning down offers to capture Saddam Hussein. Of course, his little cronie Sandy Berger went into the archives and stuffed a bunch of papers in his socks and took off. We still don't know what he was hiding, but I'm sure billy is better off for it. look it up.
Billy did nothing, I mean NOTHING to stop the attacks on America, here and abroad.
Oh, did I mention Somolia? look up the details and then defend sex-boy.
and what about the sex? it lead to supborning purgery. last I heard that's a pretty big crime. oh, utill billy did it. he lied under oath, on film, as a sitting president. I don't care what it was about, he dismantled our very credibility when, as cheif cop in the land he lies under oath, and, all together now, got away with it. with the american sheep, oh I mean people, saying, "It's no big deal right? if it was Dan Rather would say so"
Billy is a pathalogical liar, in my opinion. and I mean that without hyperbole. Chronicalling his lies on . . . everything is the easiest matter in the world. he did more to undermine the presidency and decency and honor and justice in this land than any one man I know of, ever.
Strangely liberals often have lost the ability to do moral evaluations. Clinton is a scoundrel and proves it all the time. Bush is an honest man, and proves it all the time. Yet, you can't see character. policy is everything to you I guess. Bush is evil because he's not liberal, and Clinton is good.
Clinton did much more that of course, you don't care about, like depleting our supply of bombs so that he could bomb an eastern european city to death for reasons that are still hard to figure out. he gutted our military.
oh heck, what am I doing. why bother.
you're right. Go clinton. you rock. Bush lied people died --no blood for oil. oh yeah. oh yeah.
sorry, I think too much to believe such drivel
Love you
mike
:) I haven't heard Sandy Berger mentioned for awhile, thanks for bringing him up.
You are incabale of getting over Clinton. The hatred the radical right has for the man is unfathomable.
I said it was wrong to pull Clinton into it. You agreed, and then wrote several paragraphs about it.
We supposedly went to war in Iraq because Iraq had or was developing weapons of mass desctruction, not because of his genocide.
Your recollection of Clinton's effort on terrorism is completely fictional.
Even more absurd is the belief that Iraq is going poorly because of something a democratic politician gid. That is rich.
Bush had free reign up until this January. There were no checks to his authority whatsover.
You are out of excuses. No one else is to blame. Incompetence is the only word left.
Goodbye blog. I had hoped to find a reasonable discussion about life from a group of compassionate christians.
That is far from what is here.
Wizard, you brought in the comparison of Clinton to Bush, not me. You are the one who said,
"How dare you compare the war that killed 100,000 people to clinton and sex." or something like that. That was you, my friend. by doing so, and this is honest debating, you made that comparison part of the debate. So I debated it by showing you the difference between Clinton and Bush, as you put forward as an argument. this isn't personal. this is sound reasoning.
you didn't find compassionate Christians? This is a blog. it is about opinions. I don't see the lack of compassion you do.
I'm sorry, my friend, but your arguments continue to be generalizations, name-calling (implication on this one, you people are not compassionate Christians!), and ridicule, unsupported by fact.
as for your evaluation that the war in Iraq has been a total disaster, I don't agree with your premise. You have not given any proof otherwise. I am not out of excuses, for I haven't given any. I think we are better of as a nation and a world to have removed Sadam. I thought I was clear. My point --not excuse-- is that the only thing hindering absolute victory is a the press and wishy washy politicians (They all voted for this thing, but now . . .oh yeah Bush lied . . . so they changed their mind). The shame will be quitting before the job is done. If you want to prove the war is a disaster, I'm afraid I need more than just your opinion (or even other opinions, I need reasons).
I have not been mean or unfair in these comments. read them again and see. It is an honest discussion. I just don't agree with you.
If you want to take your marbles and go home, I can't stop you.
love
mike
oh, and by the way, I'm not sure if I am the "radical right" but if you meant it for me. I don't hate Clinton.
I really don't. I never met a person I hated. I like everyone I know. Of course I haven't met Bill.
However, that doesn't mean that in the public square he is not to be scrutinized based on his words and actions. But that is not hate.
Perhaps what the "radical right" whoever they are, find frustrating is injustice and reward giving to an unscrupulous man. By the way, please realize that pointing out that he is unscrupulous doesn't mean I hate him. It is my opinion based on observations, of his character. I can like unscrupulous people. Indeed, I've been quite immoral in my life and I like myself. :)
No, I have seen real venom for Bush, though. REal venom. Do you find that unfathomable also, Wizard?
for Mr. Grey wizard,
i have found that the danger in the conversation of the blog is that you do not know who will join or how they will read the remarks that are made. I do know Margie and Pastor Mike from church - they are great people and I don't think they would cause intentional harm. what i wrote is my personal view, I don't care for the influence or attitude Ricky Martin presents, but it really is not my place to judge him. politics and opinions aside, I do hope that you may know the compassion of those who follow Jesus. may you be blessed today.
