Putting Things in Perspective

(I got this from Margies blog). Great perspective. That's a lot of dead humans. Where are their champions? I'm sure that Washington won't care until and unless it can get someone elected or defeated. Fiddling while Rome burns . . .

Margie-San - she knows the ways of balance and order... bringing focus into the madness. Very wise indeed.

That is one of my all-time favorite signs. By "favorite" I guess I mean sad but impactful.

very sad.

We have to admit, when we see these numbers, that not seeing the actual little guys who die in abortion makes it hard to process mentally. How can we be so calm when this goes on?

I saw this on her site too. Awesome!@ It is so sad and it really puts things into perspective. Who is going to defend those children?? Who even cares that they're being killed?? I mean really. Who cares? I know we do, but I mean in the public. Millions of children are being murdered willingly because it is a woman's choice to do that. A woman is allowed to choose to kill her kid inside her belly. And people are whining over grown men choosing to die for their country. It makes me angry!

I really believe that more people care than don't, that is why we didn't get to vote on it in the first place.
It is heartbreaking to me that we are willing, as a society, to overlook human life for the convience of not having to face the consequences of our actions.
I always wonder how different the numbers would be if women had ot get ultrasounds before they could have abortions, would seeing a beating heart make a difference?

Julie, you are right about the ultrasounds. many pro-life clinics are now offering that for free for that very reason.

I was in a pro-life group in college - wore the little sticky rose and everything :-) The group did some counseling and supported a couple of good programs. Since then I haven't done hardly anything for those kids except for voting for (usually unpopular) pro-life candidates. Hmmmmm, how effective has that been? Multiply Margie's sign by about 5 to come up with how many kids I didn't help.

You're right about the apathy. Without seeing "the little guys" lets me justify even forgetting to pray for them very often.

Wow.
