Ironically, in a week when we have the greatest masacre in US history on the Virginia Tech campus, our highest court has outlawed one of the greatest legal masacres in our nation: partial birth abortion.
One thing that is neat to learn is that the veneer seems to be wearing off of the abortion industry. In an interesting blog post this morning, Dr. Mohler posted that in England, the number of docs willing to perform 'abortive' procedures is on a decline. Many doctors aren't comfortable with what is being called the "dinner party test."
While doctors who are in the fertility industry are revered as life producing geniuses... the ones who perform abortions are viewed with disdain.
I can just imagine the conversation: "Hi, my name is Ralph, and I facilitate abortions."
"Ew. Gross. So... I can't even think of how to make small talk with you..."
I am so thankful to be a part of this world and be able to share with you that I am alive today because my mother left an abusive marriage early in her pregnancy, could have chosen to have an abortion, but decided to have me. I was then a welfare child, but my mothers loving sister and her family took me in, loved me, shared the love of Jesus Christ with me. This same Jesus is the God who created me, He is the same God who gave Moses the 10 commandments - the 6th one being - You shall not murder!!!!!!
We, in America, have taken things too far with all the murders of babies. My heart breaks for us. May God forgive us. I am thankful for a president who is fearful of God, but strong in his fight for life. I believe God will reward him greatly.
I had the opportunity to love back, to laugh, to cry, to hold others in my arms, to be loved, to work and to play, to have my own family to love. NO, I'm not a Dr. or lawyer or anyone with a great name like President or Judge, but I do have a life, I do have a chance to be anything I want to be. Praise God, now others will have the same chance.
From welfare to princess, I am a child of the KING and thankful for life.
With tears of sadness for those who have ears but do not hear, thankfulness for a heavenly Father who loves me and joy that they finally made a giant step forward. Gayla
Can anyone tell me an honest, legitimate reason that a mother's life could be at stake that a doctor would say 'the only way to save this mother is by doing a partial birth abortion'? Call me ignorant, but I just don't think there is one.
