Tom Cruise is Getting More and More Interesting

I like Tom Cruise. I always have. I like his movies. I never cared that he jumped up and down on a couch on Oprah. There are certainly worse behaviors that celebreties sometimes partake in. I was disappointed that his first marriage didn't work out, but I don't hate him for it.
But, religiously, he's wierd. Now, his scientology prowess has risen him nearly to the top of that religion. Now, this religion was invented by L Ron Hubbard in the middle of the 20th Century. He taught that aliens visited the earth and stuck some kind of power in each human and when you get in touch with that, you get power in your life. The proof? Well, who needs proof. Wierd, huh?
Well, it gets better. Now, leaders of the church are starting to say that Tom Cruise will be remembered in the same way as Jesus Christ because of his leadership in Scientology. Wow! Want to read about it, click here.
Your thoughts?

shhh. No one is supposed to know about the aliens until they become higher up members of the Scientology Church.

It doesn't make sense that this was in the article...

“Like Christ, he’s been criticised for his views. But future generations will realise he was right.”

If that's the case, then aren't they saying that now we know Christ was right? Since Christ is right, how could scientology ever be? Oh well, I need to go get some olives from the fig tree now.

I think this guy is a walking freak show, and I honestly don't understand the fascination in him. He hasn't made a movie I truly enjoyed since I was in high school, and he was dancing around in his underwear. ( I also like Far and Away)
The man is on his third marraige, likes to get controversial when promoting his movies (which I find brilliant) and worships the great space alien in the sky. If he wasn't a famous movie guy, we would all think he was nuts. Every time I hear him in an interview, I actually get embarrassed for him, he seems like a nice guy though, so I hope he gets a clue. Personally, as far as scientologist go, I'm more of a John Travolta girl.

great points, Julie. I'd add that even though he is a celebrity, he's nuts.

but people who are nuts can be quite interesting.

Yes, Travolta has developed a lot of cool over the years. i loved him in "Get Shorty."
