The Trouble with New Prophets, Part II

I'd like to revisit Rick Joyner. By the way, what I'm quoting isn't even the easy stuff. The easy stuff would be to quote some of the prophecies that Joyner says are from God and demonstrate the obvious falsehoods. Instead, I'd rather focus on his teachings themselves for this segment, for any student of the Bible can follow them -unlike the prophecies which require us to simply trust that Joyner is getting this secret knowledge from the Holy Spirit, based on no other authority than his personality.
Here's the quote to look at today.

"In the last few decades, like
weather forecasting, the prophetic
ministry has made strides forward
in its accuracy and dependability.
However, many seem to think of it as still being
in the immature state that it was two or three
decades ago, but this is to be expected."
What Joyner wants us to believe is that the Spirit of God allowed for and enabled a system of prophecy that included less than accurate prophecies, but that now things are improving. Instead of combating this from the Scriptures myself (it is too easy), I'd rather ask, "Where is Scripture is this idea that inaccurate and undependable prophesies are to be part of our normal Christian experience?
There is a certain level of nonsense to these words. But they are spoken with gravity and seriousness, so people receive them as true.
Prophecy from God has never been like forecasting the weather. God is always 100% spot on. God doesn't mumble, nor does He stutter --at least not when He gives messages to true prophets. What false prophets hear, who knows?
